Hi, My name is Chloe and today I'm going to be modeling the fashions for China, Chintz, and Roses' Dressed-to-Tea Post.
I am a working girl. I don't have the luxury to just stand around looking beautiful like Della, Colette, and Marie.
Many days I stand naked and exposed with my insides even showing. I always have a tape measure and cutting implements hanging around my neck. When I'm not actively working, I model this denim dress. I always get to stand by the window, because Pam likes to sew with a lot of light. (That 300 w bulb she has, though, shines in my eyes and gives me a headache!!) So, anyway, on with the fashion show.
I am modeling my favorite dress (okay, my ONLY dress) with little silk ribbon rosebuds that I adore. If a dress form only gets to have one dress to her name, at least I'm lucky to have this one.
I also love the lace, sequin and pearl embellishments around the neckline. I picture myself dancing in the dappling sunlight at an afternoon garden tea. This would be a tea for 2 or 3 best girlfriends - kindred spirits only invited to this tea! I would wear my favorite hat since the sun down here can be intense (one wouldn't think a girl with no skin would burn so easily)!
I also have the privilege of wearing a beautiful gift that recently came to China, Chintz and Roses from our friend Dawn,
and I would carry a favorite summer tote, this little straw handbag with a rose embellishment. Alas, since I stand (and dance) on a tripod base, shoes are unnecessary and frivolous in my exalted opinion. (I know most people would say humble opinion, but I'm not humble afterall - I have a pretty high opinion of my self!) See you at the Garden Tea - the roses are blooming!
Love, Chloe
NOTE FROM PAM: Don't let Chloe fool you - she's never worked a day in her life. Although, she was purchased many years ago to do some real work, other life events intervened and she has never really had to DO anything. She does get to stand by the window, wear her favorite dress, and be a great holder of my tape measure, etc. She's a constant, comforting presence (although sometimes, a little attitudy).
Don't forget to go to Gracious Hospitality for the other blog-a-thon entries.
Lots of love, Pam

Chloe is just beautiful, Pam!! And I'm so glad that she can wear my little egg charm ~ It really does go so well with her dress!! Thank you sweet friend. Have a wonderful day! xxoo, Dawn
What a fun post! It sounds like life would never be boring with Chloe in the household! She has great taste and I'm so glad she enjoys the event called afternoon tea! I can just picture her in the garden --- sending you for more scones or milk for tea! Have fun! Thanks for sharing!
I must tell you Chloe caused quite a stir among our ladies when she said she was a working girl. They felt better after you exposed her little fib. ;~)
Thank you so much for this fun post. I'll let Bill know.
Blessings! Nancy
Chloe is beautiful in her pretty denim dress! My friend, Annie, wears an old-fashioned apron over a lace dress... Maybe they should get together for tea! LOL
Thanks for the delightful post!
Such a delightful post! I think Chloe has quite an attitude and she's dressed beautifully for tea. I particularly like her necklace.
Thank you, Pam!
You are so creative! I am just learning to sew, so I admire your talents!
Ha! Pam I love this post and Chloe is so much fun! That would be my ideal way to model things :)
Hi Pam,
Thanks for posting on my blog.
Chloe is darling...yes a little attitudy but, when you're darling sometimes you've earned the right...oops.
See you next week for the treat post.
What a cute post! Sounds like Chloe has the perfect life...standing around looking beautiful. :o)
love the pictures of Chloe modeling her favorite and only dress...
she does look beautiful standing by the window overlooking your sewing area...
doing absolutely nothing...like a true southern belle should live...
enjoy the tea party...
Mimi
this was a very good post, I enjoyed it so much
Lovely post. Chloe is delightful!
I love this post! It is so creative and I love the charm from sweet Dawn as an added touch! I think Chloe is entitled to her attitude, after all she has no feet, or limbs, or head to speak of, yet she wears her tape measure and tea frock with grace and poise and she is dressed perfectly for tea!
OH how very lovely -- Chloe has -- all the right accessories an
(uh _HMM !) person should have - It truly is a delight -- yikes - gotta run to therapy - but have an old mannequin in an awful state of undress --- yikes ' not a pearl or foofala item in sight - I must do better and present her with proper introductions on my blog to your Chloe -- Still loving your banner -- It dselights my eye each time I see it -- KAthy - GA
How precious is that Chloe! What a beautiful tea dress and the charm is so pretty. Wonderful post, thank you! Have a wonderful day! :)
I loved your post, I don't get to sew much anymore myself, and laughed to think of my dress form thinking those types of thoughts..
Chloe is lovely...and what a lady!! Have a great weekend (That goes for Chloe too!!)
blessings,

Hey girly girl ~ I passed my message via Dave, but I wanted to pop in a tell you myself. :o) Loved this post! Best of the best! ;o)
Chloe, you are quite fetching in your tea garb even if you are a little mouthy - Oops! I forgot you don't have one! ;op
Hugs Pamelita! I love all the peaks I'm getting into your new home. It's looking quite lovely!
I know today is Rachie's birthday. Mom said she had a lot of deadlines looming. I hope she was able to enjoy her day just a bit; maybe she'll have a chance to make up for it when the semester ends. You're little gal is getting to be quite the lady. You and Dave did good, and God has been very gracious to both our families. Love you! :o)
